2018 Festivals Horton Vineyards Will Attend

January 27: Coastal VA Wine Festival - VA Beach Convention Center - Sat. 12pm - 7pm.  Enjoy wine tastings from up to 40 Virginia wineries, a Virginia craft beer garden featuring 8 popular breweries with a fabulous lounge for viewing play-off games and up to 80 other vendors showcasing the best in specialty foods, arts and crafts. Stroll the MOCA Art Trail featuring 100 juried artists such as painters, sculptors, agra-artisans, jewelers and more brought to you by Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art. Enjoy educational seminars, live entertainment and a grape stomp competition where you can watch as local celebrities stomp it out in a grape barrel and much more!


February 24: Historic Staunton Foundation’s 8th Annual Winter Wine Festival - Sat.  Noon-5pm. Escape to historic downtown Staunton’s Stonewall Jackson Hotel for an opportunity to taste a variety of Virginia wines, ciders and sample local artisan fare.  Advanced Tickets ($25) are available through the Historic Staunton Foundation Office or online at www.historicstaunton.org. Advanced tickets can also be purchased from several downtown Staunton locations (visit website for details). Tickets may also be purchased at the door for $30.


March 3 & 4: Virginia Wine Expo  Richmond Convention Center Over 350 wines!  Check out the web site for all the exciting events and tastings.


April 14: Smithfield Wine and Brew Fest - Windsor Castle Park - Smithfield, VA. - Saturday, 11am-5pm.  Come to the hottest riverfront event in Hampton Roads on Saturday April 9, 2016 -  - but make plans to stay in Smithfield all weekend!.  Experience everything that "HamTown" has to offer - Wine Dinners, Hotel Packages, Fri Concert, Shopping, Art Galleries/Studios, Walking Trails & More! 757-357-5182.


April 14: Beaverdam Wine Festival -  Pop's Country Store  -  Beaverdam, VA.  -  11am - 5pm.  The Beaverdam Wine Festival is in its 7th consecutive year.  Each year we strive to make this event bigger and better. In year's past we brought over 1,000 attendees through our gates to partake in this wonderful event. Join us this year for a wonderful afternoon filled with great wine, food and entertainment.  We can't wait to see you there!


April 14: Williamsburg Music & Wine Festival -  The Palace Plaza  -  Williamsburg, VA  -  Noon - 6pm. Williamsburg Music & Wine Festival will be featuring 8 Virginia Wineries, live music, delicious food, and various vendors, with all proceeds going to ​ CDR Child Development Resources & Moose Charities.


April 21: Hoover Ridge Wool & Wine Festival -  Hoover Ridge Park  -  Madison, VA.  -  11am - 4pm. Hoover Ridge Park is hosting the second annual Wool and Wine Festival in Madison County on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 10:00AM - 4:00PM. The festival will be in conjunction with the annual sheepdog trials.  We will be showcasing local wineries including Mountain Run Winery, Prince Michel Vineyards, Horton Vineyards and more! We will also have local food vendors North Cove Mushroom and Catch the Chef. Tickets are $20 presale (ends Thursday, April 19) and $25 the day of the event. Guests will also get to keep their tasting glass (while supplies last).  VIP Packages (10) are available. Packages are $250 each and includes a reserved table for 8, 8 tasting tickets and a charcuterie and cheese tray.

April 27 & 28Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival - Fri. 3pm - 10pm, Sat. 11am - 6pm. In a traditional wine-tasting atmosphere, Virginia Wineries will be offering wine samples to attendees over a two-day event. A number of local-independently owned restaurants are participating as food exhibitors to sell foods that compliment the wines. Regional artisans are also being invited to participate as exhibitors. Live musical entertainment will be present to complete the atmosphere.  Info: 540-662-3863.


April 28 - Danville Wine Festival - Danville, VA "Community Market" (southern VA) - Sat. 11am - 7pm.  Info: 434-432-1063


May 5 & 6 - Montpelier Wine Festival - Montpelier - Orange, VA.  Sat. 11am - 6pm, Sun. 11pm - 5pm.  The Montpelier Wine Festival is a premier spring event for the whole family. Held annually on the grounds of Montpelier, the lifelong home of James Madison, the fourth President of the United States and the "Father of the Constitution," the Festival showcases distinctive arts and crafts; specialty food vendors; live music; "cooking with wine" classes; children's entertainment and rides; and tastings all day.  Info:  540-672-5216.


May 5 & 6Spring Town Point Wine Festival - Town Point Park - Norfolk, VA.  Sat. & Sun. 11am - 6pm.  Join Festevents in welcoming spring’s newest annual tradition featuring music,, gourmet foods, specialty wares, and samplings of newly released vintages and past favorites from Virginia’s premier wine-makers. Info: 757-441-2345


May 12: Monticello Wine Trail Festival - Sprint Pavilion - Charlottesville - Saturday, April 15, 1:30pm - 5:30pm with special VIP Entry from 12:30pm - 1:30pm. Whether you want a catered lunch and exclusive wine tastings, or the freedom to picnic and taste great Virginia wines at your leisure, we have it.

May 18, 19 & 20 - Mount Vernon Spring Wine Festival - Mount Vernon, VA. Fri., Sat., Sun. 6pm - 9pm. Bring a blanket and stretch out on the lawn to enjoy an elegant evening of live jazz music and stunning Potomac River views. Candlelit Mansion tours include the rarely-seen Mansion cellar and appearances by George Washington. Ticket quantities are limited for this popular event.  Tickets: 703-573-SEAT.


May 19Pungo Wine FestivalBack Bay Farms - Pungo, VA.  12pm - 5pm. Please join us at the beautiful Back Bay Farms for the 2017 Pungo Wine Festival benefiting Connect With a Wish presented by Rz Restaurants. Come out and enjoy a fun-filled day of wine tasting from some of your favorite Virginia wineries. Plus there will be live music by BJ Griffin and the Galaxy Groove AND Little Country, craft beer, food trucks and local artist and vendors. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Wristband and tasting glass will be provided for guests ages 21 and over. Bring a blanket or chair, invite your friends and come enjoy a great day for a great cause.


May 19 - Front Royal Annual Wine & Craft Festival - Front Royal, VA. - 10am - 6pm. Artists and Crafters from all over the east coast. Find anything from fine handmade jewelry, hand painted wine glasses, hand crafted musical instruments, pottery to iron work. Plenty of fun for the entire family including a children’s area and come try your skill on the mechanical bull.  Info:  540-635-3185.


May 26ValleyFest - Beer & Wine Festival - Massanutten Resort, VA.  11am - 7pm.  ValleyFest, held on Memorial Day weekend, is the festival that everyone looks forward to! More than 4,000 people celebrate the holiday weekend at the festival, dancing to live music, sampling food, shopping for unique and handmade crafts, and enjoying quality wines and microbrews of the Shenandaoh Valley, Virginia and beyond. Many varieties of beer and wine will be represented, from merlots and seasonal ales to meads and maibocks. Its' all of the beer and wine you could possibly enjoy in one place!
